Tamales for a Fundraiser Lunch

When I learned about grit wars I was immediately interested in finding a way to contribute. Earlier this year I entered my first A&S display on a tamale recipe reconstructed from a description of a dish served during the Mexica festival of Izcalli from the Florentine Codex (written from 1545-1590). I thought adapting some other tamale recipes from the codex for a full meal would be a fun way to share a treasured tradition of mine with the kingdom.
